Note
Friendly letters to the Dutch poet and musician Johan de Molenaar, concerning a poem by Pléiade poet Fernand Mazade, translated by Van Nijlen. In the first letter, the poet grants his colleague permission to include the poem in question in his anthology. "Andere poëtische vertalingen heb ik niet gemaakt, zoodat u zich met dit 'mager beestje' zult moeten tevreden stellen." In the second letter, Van Nijlen provides biographical and bibliographical information on Mazade "Ziedaar alles wat ik van hem weet." Letters by Van Nijlen are rare.
