Remarques
Kuchi-e, literally translated as "mouth pictures", were woodcut illustrations produced in the 1890s through 1910s, meant for books and magazines. These prints - often of high quality - were bound to the spine or inserted into the book/ magazine, and served to illustrate what kind of stories were written within.
